Sarajevo, Bosnia – May 2014

Going back in time a few days to Sarajevo… Another city still hurting from the destruction of the war with the Bosnian Serbs (and former Yugoslavian Army) and the break up of Yugoslavia (1992-1995). The city was under siege for 1425 days and the graves of those who lost their lives are everywhere, even in the Olympic stadium. In spite of this, Sarajevo is a city with mosques, Catholic churches, a Serbian Orthodox church, and a synagogue, although much of the Jewish population was killed in the Holocaust.

Here are some of my photos from Sarajevo.
